My5 lets viewers choose their Final V

We asked the Survivor 6 what they think of this new twist, kung saan everyone will pick their own Final V, and why fans should include them in their list.

February 7 was another pre-determined non-elimination night. Instead, Dennis Trillo and Carla Abellana announced that the voting will change for the last elimination night of StarStruck V to be held this coming February 14—through My5. Araw man ito ng mga puso, pero for sure may isang puso na siguradong madudurog sa huling elimination night.

Pero last night, everyone was all smile pa rin because they will all spend one more week together as the Survivor 6.

Parang ganito ‘yung nangyari nung last time na na-bottom three ako e.”

And if before, Nina has appealed to people that she wants to win the competition, may panibagong level na ng dahilan si Nina kung bakit ayaw pa niyang ma-eliminate ngayon.

“Ito ‘yung pangarap ko,” Nina says of her StarStruck journey. Pero, she also says, hindi na competition ang tingin niya sa StarStruck. And if she gets into the Final V, she says it would be like a gift for her “na magkakasama pa rin kami. Two weeks pa. Gusto ko pa silang makasama.”

“Ayaw ko nang matapos pa ‘to.”

Si Rocco naman, nagulat sa announcement of My5. “It’s a very unique way of getting the Final V,” ika nga niya. “I hope maisama ako ng mga tao sa mga lists ng Final V nila; and I’m praying talaga.”

This survivor knows na talent continues to play a big part in the competition, kaya naman he reveals that he plans on wowing the crowd again come Sunday.

But Rocco hopes na hindi nga siya ang tinutukoy ng Council, “but starting tonight, I’ll keep [what they said] in mind.”

Admittedly, nangibabaw ang tuwa for Sarah that she be given another chance and one more week, to prove herself.

Next Sunday, binanggit na nina Dennis at Carla that they will announce the second part of Factor V—the same factor that Dingdong Dantes himself mentioned in the primer of StarStruck V last November: it is something that has already come into play, day one pa lang ng competition.

Bilang isang contestant who has been there since Day One, iGMA.tv asked Sarah kung may clue ba siya or theory as to what this particular twist is. “I am clueless,” ang sinagot ni Sarah. She mentioned na inisip raw niya na baka wild card ito, pero because only two weeks are left before the Final Judgment, “inisip ko, maybe hindi rin wild card. So clueless talaga ako.

“Abangan na lang natin sa Sunday.”

The first ones saved

Pre-determined non-elimination night man ang February 7 live episode ng StarStruck V, drama was still drummed up by deeming three survivors safe before announcing that no one would be eliminated. They were: Steven Silva, Diva Montelaba and Enzo Pineda.

Si Enzo, akala raw safe talaga siya.

“I know na this week, lalo na sa mga mentors, I needed to prove myself to them.” Dahil sa mga comments na ibinigay nila sa kanya Enzo was driven to prove na he does deserve to be in the Final Judgment. “I want to show them that I can really do better—that I can step up.

“It’s not a bad thing,” he surmised.

Pero in the end, Diva told us “I still believe na kung para sa akin ‘to, para sa akin ‘to.”

Regarding the non-elimination night naman, Diva is just happy. “Saya kasi walang nawala. Ganoon pa rin: kami-kami pa rin.”

At si Steven, handa na daw dapat siya to say goodbye to someone—or even to everyone. “Kasi akala ko may isang taong matatanggal—that one person would go.” Pero even though no one was eliminated, Steven said “feeling ko, ang lahat ng survivors hindi safe. No one’s safe. Kasi you have to show that you deserve to be here.”

Lalo na ngayon, with the My5 twist.

“Alam ko talaga, this week, I really have to exert myself, really do my best.” “Alam ko, I can keep doing more. Talagang mas kailangan kong mag-improve sa lahat. I still want to do better—keep doing better.”

As in. Pero ngayon, meron na. I’m still learning, but I’m happy kasi I’m really improving.”

“But I know there’s a lot more to do.”

And that last statement from Steven goes for everyone as well. There’s a lot more to do sa huling dalawang linggo ng StarStruck V.
